A high schooler falling in love with a very young child is super iffy. Where do I even begin?įirst off, yes, this is a very alienating premise. It’s later revealed that Satou may have had to murder someone in order for them to live together in that apartment… Be prepared for a looot of candy imagery. After freeing Mitsuboshi and getting the manager to pay her the amount she’s rightfully due Satou rushes home to be with Shio. Thanks to some ingenuity, Satou manages to capture the manager’s confession on a phone recording, and threatens to destroy the manager’s reputation and life with this evidence.

Satou confronts the manager in her office, and quickly finds out that the manager has kidnapped Mitsuboshi (keeping him in a big wardrobe in the room) and has been molesting him. Satou puts up with this at first, but is soon brought to the breaking point after the manager also decides to deduct her wages. The manager of the restaurant makes Satou constantly work overtime as “punishment” for being more popular than her. In this episode, Satou starts work at a restaurant, but quickly earns the ire of the manager and another maid due to her cute looks and her rejection of a good looking male co-worker, Mitsuboshi. Desperate to protect her “happy sugar life,” Satou works multiple jobs to make enough money to support the both of them. Satou and Shio live alone together in an apartment. We soon find out that Satou’s “beloved” is actually a young girl named Shio. However, she’s been rejecting them as of late, claiming that her heart now belongs to someone else. Satou is a high school girl who used to date and sleep around with a lot of boys. We then go back in time to the very start of our main characters’ stories. The episode starts off with two girls jumping off the roof of a burning building. Contrary to the series’ name, this isn’t a very happy show.
